Health care, dependent care and transportation flexible spending accounts, as well as long-term care coverage round out the program. TECO Energy also offers the Healthy Edge, a chronic condition management program that privately helps team members and/or their family members effectively manage their condition for a better quality of life.

Getting Enrolled
At Open Enrollment the Benefits Department mails to your home the materials that provide you with the highlights of your benefits. New employees receive a comprehensive package of information just prior to the first day of work. This Web site also provides the same information, and much more, with the click of a mouse.

Beneficiary Designations
Periodically reviewing your beneficiary designations for life insurance and retirement plans is as important as making your initial designation. You can change your designations at any time, but as a matter of practice, open enrollment is a good time to review them. Be sure there is no question who should receive the proceeds from your life insurance and retirement plans.

After Enrollment
When questions and concerns arise regarding benefits, use vendor Web sites for help or contact the vendors providing your coverage. They are the best source for handling coverage inquiries. They can answer questions about benefits coverage, research a claims status and confirm eligibility for plan benefits, among other services.
